I compiled a list of books for individuals diagnosed with Kidney Disease that may help throughout your journey no matter what stage you are in. Although at times it’s the last thing that you want to think about, it is very important to learn about this illness and how to care for yourself in the best way possible. It also helps to read stories of those who has been there before you. I am very happy that I found a couple of books for young people as well. I immediately volunteered to get tested, only to be shocked that I was a match. For the next 9 months, we went through a series of ups and downs and tests until on July 11, 2007, I donated my kidney to David.
